Our story……

It all began in March 2003 with Andrew and Melisa expecting their first child Kaden. We returned from Andrews home country the UK to settle and find a business where we could both work from home. The Pot Shed was the perfect choice as we could both be around to enjoy and help with our first born child.

The shop was established in 2001 by the Brosnan family and soon after we arrived we were ready to take it to the next level. We began by landscaping the entrance and expanded on the existing pot range offering a wider choice of pots and on a grander scale.

House’s were getting bigger so larger feature urns were needed to compliment. The most popular range for feature urns ‘Atlantis’ began finding its way into many Marlborough homes. The look is very natural, salvaged from under the sea appearance, so it harmonises into existing gardens and environments.

Our enthusiasm for exceeding customers expectations led us to a “try at home service” for those customers choosing a collection of pots or a larger feature urn. When placed in situ the right pot just stands out. It becomes an obvious and easy way to choose. I love working with colour and texture so helping customers get it right is something I am very passionate about. By bringing in a photo of the area you are wanting to put a pot is a great way for us to bounce ideas around together. Sometimes it may be something we can order in from our extensive catalogues or a special order from overseas.

Spring is a great time of year to plant some potted colour and brighten those dull winter days.
