How to Care for Your Gerberas

We want our Gerberas to arrive to you in perfect condition so each flower is individually sleeved to protect them in transport. The sleeves/cups can be removed on arrival.

On arrival cut the stems at a sharp angle and put them in a clean vase with fresh lukewarm water (5cm of water is enough). You can add a little bit of bleach (e.g. Janola) to the water to prevent bacteria. Place the vase with gerberas out of the sun, in a draught-free location and  away from a fruit bowl.

If weather is warm during transport, flowers may arrive slightly soft and sometimes floppy (as they are transported out of water). The stems will come up straight and strong again after they have been cut and put in tepid water.

How to get your flowers to last longer

To ensure you get to enjoy your Gerberas as long as possible, re-cut the stems and refresh the water every few days.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
